Spy Tools Directory Adds New Features
Expandable Category Descriptions Add To Site Usability

3/01/04 - In a move designed to assist its visitors in finding information more quickly, the Spy Tools Directory launched new features on its website today, highlighting expanded category descriptions via the "Category Info" links on all of the main directory category pages. Once a user clicks on the graphic link, details of that category are explained, giving users a better idea of whether or not they are searching the correct part of the website for the products or services they are looking for.

"We want our visitors to have a good search experience on our website. It's that simple," said Steve Salm, lead editor and spokesman. "We started with the main categories, and will soon add these features to all the sub-categories as well. This is just another step we are taking in the effort to make our site even easier to use and easier to understand. We want to be the best, and I think this is a step in the right direction."

The new, expanded category descriptions also make it easier for companies who wish to submit a site to the directory to find the correct category they would like their websites to be listed in.

"Like other topic-focused directories, we get our fair share of submissions where the person has chosen to submit their website to the wrong category, which can slow down the process of getting accepted and placed in our directory," expalined Salm. "This new feature should help those sending new submissions to better identify exactly where they would like to see their site listed."
