Chat Logging
Chat logging is the act of making a recording (or digital record) of a chat session. A chat session is the conversation between two parties using a chat program such as those offered by MSN, AOL, Yahoo, or ICQ chat programs, to name a few.
Chat logging is a practice used by investigators and law enforcement to gather eveidence in identifying sexual predators, unfaithful spouses, or illegal activity that might originate from an online chat session.
